The parents of a little fan of
The Jake and the Neverland Pirates approached us to arrange an exceptional themed birthday party for their 5-year-old son. We created an authentic Never Land set with hidden treasures, a full-sized pirate ship, and bespoke immersive theatre production to take the guests on an unforgettable adventure.
Solution:
Our choice of venue was the Conservatory in the
Millennium Gloucester Hotel, quite possibly the best location for a pirate party in London. With its glass roof and walls, lots of natural light and giant palm trees, this space is the perfect place for a pirate escapade.
As a centrepiece we installed a giant pirate ship which could accommodate 25 sailors at a time, along with pirate props like flags and a giant treasure chest to complete the look.
The lunch area became the deck of another giant three masted ship that had parrots nesting in the crows' nests. Wooden tables and benches just like those on real ships were completed by mini treasure chests as table decor.
The photo zone featured a massive personalised backdrop while our bespoke dessert station was mounted on wooden barrels and filled with themed desserts: cookies, cake pops, cupcakes, meringues and the kids' absolute favourite: Jake's chocolate desserts in glass jars, featuring Captain Hook, Crocodile, Jake, Cubby and Izzy figures on top.
The entertainment ran for three hours and included a bespoke interactive theatre production with Izzy, Jake, Smee, and Captain Hook, a quest with a secret map leading to the treasures hidden by Captain Hook's Granddad, an obstacle course with a 'survival in the storm' theme, a magic show from Captain Hook, and a paper disco with DJ Seahorse.
