When time for dinner came, the guests proceeded to the
Pompadour Ballroom, set with 11 round tables to accommodate the crowd. Elegant modern golden candelabras with white flowers in bud vases and tea light votives at base created the stunning look. Complete with classy charger plates and black napkins, the tables were set to reflect the colour scheme of the wedding: gold, black and white. For a personal touch, the couple ensured that the table numbers included a QR code with link to the wedding playlist - a great way to make the memories of the great day last for years to come.
We styled the head table just for two with abundance of white flowers, incorporating gypsophila and hydrangeas for the voluminous sculptural base and adding reflexed roses and white orchids for the wow-effect. Transparent plinths with numerous crystal candle holders and storm lanterns matched the floating candles on the table, creating a soft glitter. The focal element of the setting: a personalised neon sign with couple's new family name: The Ordors.
While guests enjoyed the feast, the MC and DJ kept the spirits high. Speeches kept the wine flowing and the 3 hours of the dinner flew past. Once the meal was over, the guests headed back to the reception place to discover the 4 tier wedding cake ready for cutting. The MC joined them for more easy yet entertaining challenges and the string trio returned for the second set.
In the meantime, our team worked hard to reset the space and turn dinner setup into evening lounge with a huge 7 meter dance floor and a stage for the 10-piece Afrobeat band. Along with the main bar, we have also created two additional drinks stations to ensure all guests will have easy access to cocktails and drinks without long queues.
Lounge furniture offered seating for those taking break from dancing, and the doors of the terrace were open to offer a quieter space for the guests to chat and relax. The finishing touch of the setup was the 360 degree photobooth, that offered the guests a chance to create fun videos and post them to their socials straight away.
When the guests moved upstairs, our couple made the way to the monogrammed dance floor for the first dance. Smoke machine and confetti made it a moment to remember. The showgirls in golden feathers then took over the floor to show the guests some moves and get them up their feet and dancing.
The late night snacks from traditional Nigerian caterer let the couple share with the guests their cultural heritage. A total of 250 guests partied till the early hours, having the time of their lives at what they later branded "
the wedding of the year".
